[NEWS] Pretty Boy Song Joong Ki to Return to Singapore in May!

Popularised by acting stints in dramas like Sungkyunkwan Scandal and Deep Rooted Tree, ex-KBS Music Bank host as well as ex-Running Man fixture, Song Joong Ki, rode a career high from 2010-2011. In 2012, with wrapped-up screen projects, the charming 26-year-old actor-MC is looking toward overseas ventures starting with Singapore! Slated for May, Song will be present for his long-awaited first fan meeting. Colored Rhythms, well-known for their Klub Parties and being hosts to artistes such as One Way and Jang Geun Suk, works together with SidusHQ and HS Media to make Song Joong Ki 1st Asia Tour Fan Meeting 2012 in Singapore “Thrill & Love” happen.

Plenty of you would be familiar with his start in the industry. To jog your memory, in case you’ve only started to catch on, Song Joong Ki debuted in 2008 with a bit part in the film Frozen Flower. Starting out as an actor and segueing into emceeing, he is probably best known as the cheeky Goo Yong-ha in Sungkyunkwan as well as “The Brain” on one of our favourite variety shows, Running Man. He’s enjoyed the best of both worlds, receiving the Producer’s Award for acting in the 2011 SBS Drama Awards and being part of the original RM crew led by Yooneunim, Yoo Jae Suk.

Not forgetting the milky skin that’s even become the envy of guys, Song is also a published author of a beauty book targeted at men. As if his performances aren’t enough to win people over, this young, budding talent has also participated actively in a project for the visually impaired — Seeing is Believing. [Click on to find out more about this campaign which also includes the making of 500 audio and Braille literature books for the blind.] Sungkyunkwan took his popularity to new heights and he soon became one of Korea’s CF Blue Chips. Most recently, he was selected by Arirang TV and MBC’s Section TV as one of the brightest hallyu stars to look out for in 2012.

His first visit, as part of endorsing TonyMoly, happened in December ’10. Thereafter, he’d only been back for a quick stopover to present some awards at the Mnet Asian Music Awards in November ’11. Come May, Song will be able to meet his fans in a cosier set-up — the newly revived and refurbished Kallang Theatre. Talk about the thrills his loved-up fans are in for! The date is set for 20th May, with an autograph-cum-high-five session during the fan meeting, as well as a mall appearance on the 19th at Marina Square.
