Get ready for Seoul’s biggest countdown event of the year!

Popularised by the likes of Galaxy Express, Telepathy, and even K-pop bigwigs like 2PM and Superstar K, this yearly celebration is sure to be the choicest event to ring in 2012! This year, the people behind Countdown Seoul are giving their line-up a power boost by making alternative K-pop rock group, UV, their headline act. Just like they’d pulled off in 2010, the party’s going to be at Kyungbang Times Square, in Yongdeungpo-gu, Seoul. For an idea on how this will turn out, hit this. And so, to bid a happy goodbye to 2011 as well as start 2012 with a bang, what better place to be at than CDS12?

Organised by LOCKSMITH MUSIC, the festival is set to kick off with 20 performances from a spectrum of artists and bands. Attendees will be able to catch some of 2011′s most exciting acts as well as 2012′s most anticipated artists including Breakbot, So Me, Housse De Racket, 80Kidz, Autumn Vacation (가을방학), 3rd Line Butterfly (3호선 버터플라이), Goonamguayeoridingstella (구남과여라이딩스텔라), mongoose (몽구스), the freaks (얄개들), One Punch (원펀치), Summer Here Kids (썸머히어키즈), DJ Silent, Sonyeon, Cho!ong, Qloro, Taz and Xanexx. There’s also a rather conspicuous announcement at the end of the third line-up, that more artists have yet to be revealed. Hmm…

With all that musical goodness packed into one night, CDS12 is not about to go down without a fitting venue. As mentioned, Kyungbang sets the scene; a mall in the day turned massive party space come night. Sounds fun already! People who attended CDS11 would know. LOCKSMITH MUSIC has promised a set-up of multiple stages and lounge areas to host the indoor crowd. Goers can escape the harsh cold as they welcome the new year.
