[NEWS] 2011 Girls’ Generation Tour – Ticketing Information

With Running Into The Sun‘s latest update, we’re sure S♡NEs will be pleased to know that along with a school-holiday friendly date for the concert, Girls’ Generation‘s 2011 Tour will also be opening ticketing in a fuss-free, two-tier format. They will be the $218 tickets (for the Mosh Pit or Terrace seating) and $168 tickets (for Balcony seats or allocations with Partially Restricted Views). Along with this announcement, RITS and Conceptual are also proud to say that SNSD’s concert will set a local record for “Most Expensive Production” come December. You may’ve read in the news a few days back, that as far as Korean Pop concerts go in Singapore, there has yet to be one held at the same scale. SHINee came close but SM’s nine muses are to surge past with a production worth an estimated S$1.8 million.

Wowza. As if we weren’t already on edge about all the year-end events. Anyway, there’s more after the jump!

Conceptualised as a concert with massive staging structures, which will give S♡NEs the best and perhaps a once-in-a-lifetime experience, SNSD’s tour will have a limited 5,500 tickets for the taking. Arguably, the best seats (or positions) in the house will be those in the mosh pit area, which can accommodate over 2,000 fans. This is where fans should take a hint and grab those standing tickets fast as moshers will be watching all the action in close proximity to their idols. Girls’ Generation, in your face? We can already hear happy fanboys and girls flicking out their credit cards.

Official Drink sponsor, F&N, has also been engaged to cater to fans in the mosh pit. Our kindly organisers are doing this as a form of fan service, to ensure that concert-goers don’t get bogged down by thirst and tired throats throughout the event. Nice!

Members of the public will be able to purchase their tickets from 1 Nov 2011 (Tue), through the SISTIC website, or via counter and phone bookings. Proudly presented by Samsung, with Official Drink F&N and Official Card OCBC Cards, priority sales will launch on 29 Oct 2011 (Sat), 10.00am and go on for 3 days. As above, priority bookings are open to Samsung and OCBC customers through SISTIC’s website, and through their phone lines or designated counters. Do note, each transaction is limited to the purchase of 6 tickets.

We are committed to providing consumers with the ability to enjoy a complete entertainment experience anywhere, whether at home or on-the-go with Samsung’s range of smart devices including smartphones, tablets and Smart TVs. To complement this, we are excited to bring the latest pop acts to our customers,” said Ms Irene Ng, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Samsung Asia Pte Ltd. “Earlier this year, Samsung co-presented the most popular Korean boy band, Super Junior, for their first solo concert in Singapore. Now, to reward our customers for their loyal support for the year, we are thrilled to present the first solo concert for Asia’s top girl group from Korea, Girls’ Generation.”

Based on the feedback received on Facebook and Twitter, along with the dozens of calls and emails we receive every day, we expect sales of the tickets to move swiftly,” says Beatrice Chia-Richmond, Managing Director and Creative Director of Running Into The Sun, “The production quality we’ll see at the concert will be top-notch, and along with the superb performance by the girls, we’re sure the show will be nothing short of spectacular”.

2011 Girls’ Generation Tour in Singapore will be held on 9 Dec 2011 (Fri) 8.00pm at the Singapore Indoor Stadium, and it will showcase a 3-hour visual treat of sleek and magnetic choreography, interspersed with special visual effects, including laser beams, LED screens, trapezes and elevated platforms.

Girls’ Generation will perform across two stages and strut along three passageways (as per seating plan below!), where fans can expect the girls to tease and amuse from every angle in both group and solo acts. Right in the thick of the action are three separately enclosed mosh pits for 2,000 standing audience members to be awed by the girls.

General FAQ (taken from Facebook)

1. Will there be a ticket launch event?
No, there will not be a ticket launch event. Priority booking starts on 2nd November and public sales start on 4th November. RITS would like to point out that should customers choose to queue, they are doing so at their own discretion. RITS will not be providing queue/crowd control services.

2. Can I choose my seat(s)?
Unfortunately, you cannot choose your seat(s). You can only select your preferred block or mosh pit pen. There will be seat numbers printed on your ticket (there is no Free Seating). SISTIC’s system will choose the best available seating at the point of transaction. Only mosh pit (standing) tickets are free standing within the individual pens (Pen A, Pen B or Pen C).

- First 250 tickets purchased by Samsung mobile/tablet customers at any SISTIC counters are entitled to a 5% discount;

8. What are the modes of payment?
For online and hotline bookings, only credit cards and debit cards will be accepted. With debit cards, they must have Visa/Mastercard/etc capabilities and thus allow for online transactions. Customers who are unsure about this are advised to check with their card-issuing banks.

9. How can overseas fans purchase tickets?
Overseas fans can obtain their tickets through the SISTIC website from 12 midnight (GMT +8:00) on 4th November. Alternatively, regional fans can get their tickets at SISTIC’s overseas ticketing partners.

The girls will be constantly running and flying around. You’ll definitely be able to see them. (kourier particularly likes this one.)

13. Will mosh pit tickets be numbered in a similar way to those at SNSD’s Seoul and Taipei concerts?
Unfortunately, SISTIC is unable to print serial numbers on the tickets for this purpose. We’re sorry that we are unable to adopt that system.

***Black-market sales are also strictly prohibited. Regular sales are recorded by RITS via ticket serial numbers. For people who are proceeding to purchase black-market tickets, they can be traced internally and will be asked for an ID check at the door. RITS reserves the right to refuse entry to such persons. Bear in mind that it is within everyone’s social responsibility to keep this a fair experience for all fans.

RITS thanks all SONEs for their kind cooperation.

Did they reserve any tickets for the public sales on November 4? I got disappointed with the ticket selling for Nov 9 since when the public sales came (Nov 1 (12am)) I found out that they didn’t reserve any tickets for the public sales and all tickets are already sold. :(

RITS hasn’t sectioned off sales like MAMA. They didn’t do so for the first session, and I doubt they’ll do it for this one. Some people may be selling surplus tickets, check on facebook or twitter. Just be sure to avoid black-market sales.
