kourier > [NEWS] Girls’ Generation in Singapore – February 2012!
S♡NE alert! You’ll want in on this!
After months of swirling rumours and such, it has finally been confirmed that Girls’ Generation will be holding a full-scale concert in Singapore in February 2012.
Organisers Running Into The Sun (RITS) and Conceptual, will be bringing Girls’ Generation in for their first ever solo concert in Singapore.
Creative Director of RITS, Beatrice Chia, who was previously responsible for bringing Super Junior’s Super Show 3 to Singapore, and also the recently announced, SHINee World Concert, is excited to host a female Korean group for the first time.
“Now the guys can’t say they’re left out. We’re extremely thrilled to bring Girls’ Generation for their first solo concert in Singapore. Concert-goers will be mesmerised by the girls’ synchronised dance moves and heart-melt-worthy winks,” Beatrice Chia-Richmond says, “We’re sure temperatures at the Singapore Indoor Stadium will rise a few degrees with the arrival of the girls.”
We’re certain that Girls’ Generation needs no introduction at all to ardent Singaporean K-poppers. Heralding the start of their tour with a home ground performance on 24th July, Girls’ Generation had already managed to attract a whopping 20,000 fans to their first concert. Among the many fans, 100 S♡NEs from Singapore, who took up a special Korea Tourism Organization tour package to fly five hours out, were also in attendance to give support. The girls sang a total of 32 songs, and went through 7 wardrobe changes to finish up a 3-hour concert performance. While we can only speculate now, we expect the feature-packed concert in February to follow closely the format of their July premiere.
Excitement has also been brimming at kourier. We may not be diehard S♡NEs but just the mention of a solo Soshi concert – which equates to hours of K-pop sing-a-long and dance-a-long – is getting us all fidgety. We can’t imagine how all you S♡NEs out there must feel like having to maintain composure! While we look forward to seeing the nine muses return to our shores, fans will be happy to know that ticketing details will be released towards the end of the year. That’s less than six months away, so keep your eyes peeled and watch this space!
