Our summer’s been burnin’ up so far with artistes streaming in and out of the country for gigs and concerts alike. While we bask in the heat this July, kourier is re-tuning its binoculars a little further north, to nowhere else but Malaysia! 2011 marks our neighbouring county’s third year as host to MTV’s World Stage event. With a change of acts come a change in venue for our Malaysian concert goers – i-City in Shah Alam. While we’re unfamiliar with the area, Google tells us that this place (with a cool name) is bustling with activity and set to be the perfect location for a concert of MTV’s proportions!

MTV World Stage 2011 will feature live performances from popular international, regional and local recording artistes. To name a few, they are Neon Trees, Thirty Seconds To Mars, Pop Shuvit and wait for it… Beast!

Additional deets to keep you in-the-know: MTV World Stage Malaysia will be staged in front of a live audience of about 15,000 fans. The 2 hour on-air version of MTV World Stage Live in Malaysia 2011 will premiere on MTV SEA channel on 8 August at 10pm (Indonesia), 11pm (Singapore, Hong Kong and the Philippines) and 12am (Malaysia). An hour-long version of MTV World Stage Live in Malaysia 2011 will also be broadcast globally in 154 countries, reaching over 550 million households later in the year.
