kourier > There’s ‘NO OTHER’ like SUPER JUNIOR – An up-close and personal Super Show
Back for a second helping of Singapore fun, the twelve boys of Super Junior and their different sub-units were in town late January on a tight two-day schedule to perform for local E.L.Fs (their official fanclub, EverLasting Friends). This visit comes after their Samsung promotional tour in June last year, for the Galaxy S mobile phone. While the group was not in full attendance in 2010, all of Super Junior made it to Singapore this time around. Compared to their previously hurried day-trip, SuJu, was able to soak up the atmosphere in the Lion City on their weekend visit. Their schedule included two concerts and a press conference that took place on a rainy Saturday and Sunday. However, spirits were far from dampened as this stay was for a first-time, full-scale performance in the form of “Super Show 3 the 3rd Asia Tour”. After bypassing Singapore in previous years, the 10-member group finally made a very much awaited stop here.
kourier was able to attend all of SuJu’s events, particularly, concerts on both days. Held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium, it was indeed a scene to behold.
Encompassing both local and overseas fans, the venue was alight in sapphire blue (SuJu’s official fanclub colour) with the help of light sticks. The boys opened the concert with their 2009 hit “Sorry Sorry”, to deafening cheers from the audience. The Super Show 3 stage was evidently constructed with E.L.Fs in mind, seeing as how the expansive set-up allowed for four massive mosh pits and platforms that were built close to the surrounding terrace seats. Fans were treated to an up-close and personal performance with their beloved Super Junior.

While serenading the crowd with songs including “Way of Love” and “Song for You”, several SuJu members leant in for quick selcas (“self-cameras”) with E.L.Fs who reached out with their cameras. The boys also lingered around the edge of the stage to offer handshakes to fans who excitedly received them.
Leeteuk, Heechul, Yesung, Shindong, Sungmin, Eunhyuk, Donghae, Siwon, Ryeowook and Kyuhyun brought their charming, well-oiled dance moves and amazing vocals to the Indoor Stadium before promising more to come in future. A “Super Show 4″, perhaps? I’m sure SuJu’s 20,000 everlasting friends in Singapore, who were left in awe, will be keeping their eyes (and ears) peeled for their next visit!
We would like to thank Super Junior and Running Into The Sun for organising a very successful Super Show 3. Here’s to holding many more of such concerts in the future!
